Bet Tzedek, in conjunction with The LEV Foundation, reminds you to “ThinkSmart” and don’t drink and drive. Purchase a $30 Taxi voucher for only $10 to be used to travel to and from The Justice Ball.

Bet What?
Occasionally we at Bet Tzedek are asked why our name is so challenging. And then we begin to tell one of our very favorite stories. First of all, our name is pronounced like this: bay’t zed-ik.
Bet Tzedek literally means The House of Justice.
Thousands of years ago, the Hebrew prophets began teaching tzedakah: that all humans have the obligation to demand justice, act with lovingkindness, and heal the world so that all people live with dignity and respect.
Belief in these fundamental values has been a catalyst for each of us to find the courage to pursue freedom, compassion and justice - not only for ourselves, but for all humankind.
Today, our name Bet Tzedek embodies this value of tzedakah, the act of seeking a justice world.
Bet Tzedek may be a struggle to pronounce… just like the act of tzedakah itself. But that very same struggle to heal our world, to have courage, and to reach out is also part of our work - and we are honored to join you in making it yours.
